The Variance Control main page will allow you to track and manage your variance, log your promos & waste.

Variances

This is a general view of all the items you have and the variances you have after the last inventory count was entered for each item. In this quick view, you see the item name, Begin inventory, End inventory, Variance (in quantity), Value of that variance and Justify as buttons

You also have a Critical Inventory toggle button to add or remove an item from the critical inventory. For more information on what are critical inventory check out this tutorial

You can click on any line and have access to more information. A pop-up with these information will appear.

Waste Log Tab

Under this tab you can view entered waste. You have a list of previously entered waste with the name of the item, the type, the quantity, the date and the reason for the waste.

 Register New Waste

  1. To add a new waste entry use the “NEW WASTE” green button on the right-hand side.

  2. In this pop-up menu, you can select the item to waste from the drop-down menu, enter the quantity wasted, the date and the reason from the drop-down menu. If the reason you are looking for isn’t available, you can add it using the + sign on the right-hand side of the search box. Click ADD to save your entry. 

Waste reasons

  • Under this tab you can create reasons for WASTE. We have provided you with a common list of reasons, but feel free to add your own, specific to your restaurant. You can add one using the plus sign on the right side of the search bar.

  • To add new reasons please use the “NEW REASON” green button on the right-hand side.
