Gift cards sold from your POS should be viewed as future sales and should not be accounted for in your current sales. They will essentially become a sale when your customers redeem them.

Many POS have them setup as if they were regular menu items. Unfortunately, this has the effect of doubling their revenue in Piecemeal.
