To have your food cost information, you will need to achieve 2 very specific tasks :
You will need to have uploaded all your daily sold item sales report
You will need to link every sold menu item to either a recipe, an inventory item or both. Here is how to do it
Why does my food cost seem to be off ?
If it seems too high
Check your menu item costs. Filter your menu item list by food cost. Look for anything out of the ordinary. You or a colleague might have wrongly entered an invoice. An inventory item price might be wrong.
If it seems too low
It is possible that a new sold menu item has not been linked to any recipes or any inventory item.
