How to Modify the Order of Presentation of Employees in the Schedule

The oirder of presentation of employees in your schedule can play a crucial role in the efficiency and organization of your team. Piecemeal allows you to customize the order of employee presentation by providing various options. In this article, we will explain two methods to modify the order of employee presentation on your schedule.

Modify the order: By roles within sections

One way to modify the order of employee presentation is by adjusting the order of roles within sections. Follow the steps below to make this modification:

  • In your schedule, click on the three dots to the left of the "Publish Schedule" button.

  • Click on the "Manage Sections" option.

  • A window will open, displaying the different sections of your schedule. This is where you can manage the sections and choose the roles that make up your sections. From here, you can add, move, and delete the roles appearing in your sections. The system will use the order in which you place the roles to present the employees assigned to them.

  • Once the order is modified, save the changes by clicking the "Save" button.

After following these steps, you will notice that the order of employee presentation in your schedule will be updated based on the modifications made to the order of roles within sections.

Modify the order: Using numeric identification (ID) in employee profiles

Another method to modify the order of employee presentation is by using an employee ID in the employee profile. Follow the steps below to make this modification:

  • Access the main employee page.

  • Locate the employee you wish to modify the order of presentation for.

  • Click on the employee profile.

  • Look for the ID field.

  • Enter a numeric ID for that employee. Ensure that the numeric IDs are unique for each employee.

  • Save the changes made to the employee profile.

Once you have assigned an ID to each employee, the system will use this identifier to determine the presentation order on the schedule. The employees will be sorted in ascending order based on the assigned numeric IDs.

Default alphabetical order

If you do not modify the order of employee presentation using the methods mentioned above, the Piecemeal system will assume a default alphabetical order based on the employees' names. This means that employee names will be sorted alphabetically from A to Z.

It is important to note that these methods of modifying the order of employee presentation on the schedule are specific to using Piecemeal.

By following the steps described above, you will be able to personalize the order of employee presentation and optimize the management of your team.
